Whether you are alone, a couple or as a family, Netflix has a vast range of entertainment options fit for everyone’s interests. Series such as Friends, Virgin River, among others, Netflix has a well-stocked catalog to keep you and your loved ones entertained despite the confinement. These feel-good series will make you forget about the quarantine with spirit-lifting moods.

Friends Series

Friends is undoubtedly a must-watch view this season. It’s a reflection of what friendship entails. The intrigues of the diverse friendship seek to fulfill the theory that all existential problems can be solved by watching an episode of Friends. Try it out.

How I Met Your Mother

This series is an incredible story told by a guy to his children about the romantic journey with their mother. The tale includes the fun-filled reaction from his friends, who creatively brings a fresh perspective to the scene. One of the friends, Barney, steals the show, further enriching the act. Produced in 2013, the Hit girls is a group of seven students who, from age ten, participate in activities, among them Acappella. The girls are determined to win and shine in the whole series of battles, thus achieve a national title. The comedy will no doubt keep you glued to the incredible musical numbers.

 

Grease

This successful romantic comedy will take you back to your teenage years of Prom, holiday love, and gang spirit. The comedy introduces us to the American 50s, the beginning of Graffiti, and happy days. It leaves you no option than to choose either boy or girl in their communicative energy of the timeless hits Summer Nights, and You are the one for me as chanted by the duo, Newton-John, and Travolta.

 

Mamma Mia

This is a perfect family movie to take away the gloom this season. Through the heroine, Meryl Streep, Mamma Mia takes you on a romantic journey where you meet her three exes, one who is her daughter’s dad. Each has its unique streak of voice that brings out the joy and humor.

Learn New Recipe

Who says confinement translates to boredom, you can try a new recipe to keep your spirit up and enjoy your meals even more. This season presents an opportune time to learn a few recipes. Butter Pancake 

 

Ingredients

1 egg

100g of flour

1/5 l semi-skimmed milk

3/5 tablespoon of oil

1/10 glass of beer

 

Procedure

In a bowl pour half of the flour, then add the eggs one by one, then add a little milk then flour, milk again, and so on.

Finally, add the oil and the beer.

Let stand for 1 hour; your dough is ready.

Cook your pancakes to the desired sizes and thickness, and serve when hot!

For main dishes, nothing compares to a juicy flavor of beef for lunch or at dinner. Activate your taste buds with  these sumptuous meat recipe.

Beef Carrots

Though it sounds like a common recipe, beef can be made differently and leave all licking their fingers and asking for more.

Ingredients

400g of beef cheeks

400g Paleron

1.33kg Medium Onions

1.33 kg Carrots(Can be frozen or not)

Pepper

A pinch of Salt 

2/3 teaspoon semolina garlic

teaspoons of tomato puree

16.5 g butter

26.5 cl white wine

1.33 beef broth cube

 

Procedure

Melt the butter in a casserole dish and brown the meat.

Stir in onions with garlic, salt, and pepper.

Deglaze with white wine, scrape off the cooking juices and add the tomato puree.

Crumble the broth cubes into the casserole dish and wet with a little water.

Cook for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Add the carrots, peeled and cut into rings and cook for 45 minutes.

Physical fitness is an essential part of our lives, more so in the lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Even without the usual sophisticated gym equipment, there are many easy exercises that all of us can try out. For beginners, arm reach, punch and kick, arm circles, wing fly and lift, 4 point plank to down dog as well as twist and knee raise are some of the low impact work down workout regime you can engage in.
